What is the telemedicine clinic?
The telemedicine clinic provides your child the opportunity to be seen by a licensed healthcare provider or social worker without having to leave the school.
Advantages of Utilizing the Telemedicine Clinic
- Your child will not have to leave school to see a provider. The telemedicine clinic will be able to reduce the amount of time spent out of the classroom.
- With permission, a student can be seen without parents having to leave work.
- Prescriptions can be sent to a pharmacy and can be ready for pick-up when you get out of work.
- Fewer emergency visits, meaning less out-of-pocket expenses.
- When your student goes into the telemedicine clinic, the school nurse will decide if linking to a provider is necessary. If so, students will be seen by one of three providers from Insight Hospital & Medical Center Coldwater Pediatric and Adolescent Center.
